Jami studied art history in Europe before attending UCLA's School of Interior and Environmental Design. She then spent two years working in Tokyo, Japan as an interior designer for Fukui Kasumi Architects and Engineers before starting her own interior design and home-building company, White Dove Development. Jami's extensive travels and love for architecture and contemporary and classical arts have allowed her to develop a design philosophy incorporating space, volume, and color into an aesthetic balance using only the finest materials, the latest technology, and dedicated artisans. Jami listens to each client's needs, wants, and desires assesses the entire project, executes a plan, and gets it done. As an interior designer and licensed general contractor, Jami can effectively communicate between her clients and sub-contractors, ensuring the job runs smoothly, efficiently, on time, and on budget. Her eye for detail is unparalleled, and her vision is the same; to consistently create warm, inviting spaces that flow with ease and to build solid homes that last a lifetime. Jami's projects range from California, Idaho, and Colorado, along with twelve custom homes she designed and built on spec in Pacific Palisades, California, with revenues exceeding eighty million dollars. She has her general contractors license in California and Colorado. Her work has been featured nationally on PBS and NBC. Jami's love for the mountains and skiing brought her to Aspen, Colorado, where she now resides full-time.
"To whom much is given, much shall be required." Luke 12:48
Jami's experience in construction began at a young age when her father would bring the entire family to Mexico to hand-build orphanages for the poorest of the poor. Since then, Jami has learned that by giving a hand up, not a handout, she can help others less fortunate create their homeownership dreams. Jami has helped hundreds of less fortunate families build their dream homes through Habitat for Humanity. As a former Los Angeles chapter board member, she has built homes in Los Angeles, Mexico, and India since 1997. Jami had the privilege of building 100 houses in Lonavala, India, alongside President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter. Her philanthropy also includes donating her time and resources to cancer and Alzheimer's research.
